Part of the Hackney ONE YOU get fit campaign providing classes across the borough for £1. A Body Conditioning class that aims to give you an all-round workout for your whole body. The class is filled with high energy exercises combining aerobics and toning in one class. We start off with some aerobics style cardio routines then move on to some more focused resistance work and floor work. We will make sure you are always exercising safely and effectively.
As you would expect from a total body workout, regularly attending our Body Conditioning classes we aim to deliver all-round benefits from head to toe. You will be better toned and physically fitter and you will probably feel just as good as you look too. We are not promising a complete transformation in a matter of weeks, but with a certain amount of effort and dedication you could certainly be well on the way towards a better body and healthier way of life!

My classes are full of high impact, fun, energy tunes that work your whole body – calypso, limbo reggaeton, dancehall, salsa – bringing the beach vibe to your workouts. Zumba is most definitely not a workout, its a party!! We’ll have a blast!!I’ve been a Zumba enthusiast for years – and started wondering what more I could do. So I spoke to one of my instructors and suddenly I was training to be a teacher. Now I’m here!

 

Suitable for all levels of fitness and ages!

Pilates Flow   Thursdays 7.30pm

This Pilates Class emphasises flow, with focus on breath and movement, leading to a more integrated use of the body, improving both strength and flexibility.

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on strengthening the body with emphasis on core strength, posture, balance, flexibility and coordination, improving general fitness and overall well-being.

About the teacher

Mara is a comprehensively qualified Pilates teacher and Gyrotonic teacher, with an extensive career in movement and dance. She has worked with people from all walks of life and all levels of fitness.

She has an MA in choreography from London Contemporary Dance School. She splits her time teaching movement, creating dances and as choreography mentor for students at the London Studio Centre.

Her continuing exposure to creative practices, and her passion for dance and movement greatly influence her teaching. Since her arrival in the UK she has continued to dance and choreograph, bringing her movement exploration and a sense of creativity and play to her class.
