Married couple Micha (Principal of Stoke Newington Stagecoach) and Terry Blue have opened a youth dance school with a difference.

Micha and Terry (locally known as Blue) are both passionate about getting kids dancing. Micha’s background involves working with children within musical theatre and Blue, who comes from a footballing background (forty-something and still playing competitive football) knows only too well the value of stretches, warm ups, movement and confidence gained through the various genres of dance that Studio N16 has to offer.

With professional and inspirational teachers, the schools aim is to ensure affordable classes for all is achieved, fulfilling their belief that dance should be for everyone and enjoyed by all.

Finally, the opening of Studio N16 and turning the idea into a reality was inspired by a student who simply loves to dance and asked ‘where could he go?’

Acting Bugs is an exciting new tots drama group in East London aimed at Preschool children 3 years and above.

The brand new sessions lasts 45 minutes and introduces children to the world of drama in a fun, playful and imaginative way through interactive storytelling, improvisation, movement, music and use of props, puppets and bubbles.

All Acting bug leaders are fully Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked and we have over ten years experience in leading workshops for little ones.

The sessions will get your little ones imagination buzzing whilst developing focus and building confidence in a friendly and safe environment. Parents stay with their children during the session and well deserved refreshments are provided afterwards for little ones!

The Boiler House team have been running a weekly Messy Play session for the last few years, this is a friendly popular activity that does exactly what it says on the tin!

Activities include crafts, messy activities such as shaving foam, water play, flour and lots of paint. There is also Healthy Breakfast for the kids, tea & coffee 🙂

Tiny Talk Class @ The Boiler House Community Space

Tiny Talk – Thursdays 10.30am to 11.30am  (please contact Rose to book a place)

Signing is a wonderful way of communicating with babies before they can talk. There’s no more frustration with trying to work out what’s wrong if your little one is upset. We use signs to work out if she’s hungry, tired, thirsty or a combination of everything! And there’s lots of fun to be had out and about, signing about the ducks, the boats, and lots of things we see.

And as well as helping communication before babies can talk, signing is a great way to help your baby’s speech and language develop.

The classes are very friendly, and we have lots of fun! Each class lasts around an hour – for the first half hour we learn some signs, and have fun practicing them and singing well-known nursery rhymes. The emphasis is on fun for babies and their carers, while learning some signs. For the second half hour we relax with a well-deserved cuppa and biscuits, while the babies enjoy some playtime. There’s also plenty of time for questions or hints and tips on baby signing, and for certificates for babies who’ve learned some new signs.
